Imagine waking up in a traditional Swiss Alpine village, surrounded by snowy mountains, spending your morning working remotely and your afternoon skiing, hiking or enjoying a cozy evening with an international community.
This December, we’re making it happen.
From December 4 to 13, 2026, Tursi Digital Nomads is organizing a special winter Coliving Experience in collaboration with Coliving Petit Velan, located in Bourg-Saint-Pierre, in the heart of the Swiss Alps.
We’re calling it the Tursi Gold Experience: 10 days of remote work, winter adventures, community living and meaningful connections.
And this time, we’re bringing together something special.
12 Tursi Digital Nomads Alumni have already confirmed their participation, and we’re opening 6 additional spots to new members who want to join our international community for the first time.
Our approach is simple: Alumni First, but everyone is welcome to become part of the community.
The experience also coincides with Snomad Fest 2026, a winter gathering of digital nomads and remote professionals featuring skiing, coworking, workshops and networking.
If you’re looking for a unique Coliving Experience in Europe this winter, here’s everything you need to know.
What Is the Tursi Gold Coliving Experience?
The Tursi Gold Experience is a temporary winter coliving organized by Tursi Digital Nomads in partnership with Coliving Petit Velan.
Over the past five years, we’ve organized international remote-work communities across Italy and Greece, welcoming hundreds of digital nomads, freelancers, entrepreneurs and remote employees.
Our experiences have always been about more than accommodation and coworking.
We bring people together in authentic destinations, creating opportunities to build friendships, exchange professional knowledge and connect with local communities.
For this December edition, we wanted to create something different; instead of organizing another Mediterranean coliving, we’re heading to the Swiss Alps, and instead of starting a community entirely from scratch, we’re bringing together people who have already shared experiences with us while welcoming new participants.
We already have 12 confirmed participants from previous Tursi Digital Nomads experiences.
These are people who have joined our communities in Italy or Greece and are now coming together again for another adventure.
But we’re not keeping the experience exclusively for alumni.
We’re opening 6 spots to new participants who want to discover the Tursi Digital Nomads community.
For newcomers, this means joining an established international network rather than arriving in a completely unfamiliar environment.
And for our alumni, it means reconnecting with friends while welcoming new people into the community.
This combination is exactly what makes the Tursi Gold Experience different.
Where Is Our Swiss Coliving Experience Located?
Our December 2026 Coliving Experience takes place in Bourg-Saint-Pierre, a traditional mountain village in the Swiss canton of Valais, close to the Italian border.
Located in the Great St Bernard region, Bourg-Saint-Pierre is surrounded by Alpine peaks, mountain landscapes and historic architecture.
Unlike Switzerland’s most famous winter destinations, the village offers a quieter and more authentic environment.
It’s the kind of place where you can wake up to mountain views, walk through traditional streets and enjoy a slower rhythm of life.
For Digital Nomads in Europe, Bourg-Saint-Pierre provides an alternative to conventional remote-work destinations such as Lisbon, Barcelona or the Canary Islands.
Instead of beaches and coworking cafés, you get Alpine landscapes, winter sports and cozy evenings inside a traditional mountain house.
And because the experience takes place in December, it offers the possibility of enjoying the beginning of the winter season.
Coliving Petit Velan: Our Home in the Swiss Alps
Our accommodation partner is Coliving Petit Velan, a community-oriented property located in Bourg-Saint-Pierre.
Petit Velan combines the atmosphere of a traditional Alpine house with facilities designed for remote workers and longer stays. The property includes private and shared bedrooms, shared living spaces, a fully equipped kitchen and a coworking area.
Wooden interiors, mountain views and welcoming common spaces create the perfect environment for a winter community.
Living Together in One Alpine House
One of the reasons we selected Petit Velan is its communal atmosphere.
Participants can work together during the day and spend time in shared spaces during the evenings.
The house includes a living room, communal kitchen, coworking facilities and areas where residents can relax.
Imagine finishing your last meeting of the day and finding your housemates preparing dinner, discussing tomorrow’s ski plans or simply enjoying a glass of wine.
For us, these spontaneous moments are often what make a Coliving Experience memorable.
And with 12 returning alumni already participating, the social atmosphere will begin developing from the very first day.

Remote Work in the Swiss Alps: Coworking and Productivity
A successful coliving should allow participants to maintain their normal professional responsibilities.
That’s why remote work remains an essential part of the Tursi Gold Experience.
Coliving Petit Velan provides 24/7 access to a coworking area, allowing participants to organize their working hours according to their needs.
Whether you’re a freelancer managing international clients, a remote employee attending daily meetings or an entrepreneur working on your business, you can maintain your professional routine.
Of course, you’re also welcome to join if you want to take a holiday!
Some participants may work full-time during weekdays and enjoy the mountains in the evenings. while others may decide to take time off and spend more time skiing or exploring the region.
The experience is designed to accommodate different lifestyles.
Work when you need to. Explore when you want to. Connect whenever you feel like it.
Accommodation Options and Prices
We want this Swiss Coliving Experience to be accessible to participants with different budgets.
For our December edition, we have arranged several room categories at Petit Velan.
Shared Bedroom: €350 per Person
The most affordable option is a shared bedroom with five individual single beds and mountain views.
The room is located on the second floor and has access to a shared bathroom.
This is a suitable option for participants who enjoy shared accommodation and want to keep their expenses relatively low.
Price: €350 per person.
Three-Bed Shared Rooms: €450 per Person
We also offer shared bedrooms with three individual single beds.
These rooms provide mountain views and shared bathroom facilities.
They offer a smaller sleeping environment while maintaining the social atmosphere of coliving.
Price: €450 per person.
Two-Person Shared Room: €550
Another option is a shared bedroom with a bunk bed for two people.
The room overlooks the mountains, and the bathroom is shared with another room.
Price: €550.
Private Bedroom: €750
For participants who prefer additional privacy, Petit Velan also offers private double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.
These rooms provide views of the village or the surrounding mountains.
Price: €750.
All accommodation categories provide access to the shared kitchen, coworking facilities and communal areas.
House cleaning is also provided.
Important: The prices above are the advertised accommodation rates. Room allocation, occupancy and final availability should be confirmed directly with our team.
With only 6 spots open to new participants, we recommend getting in touch early if you’re interested in joining.
Skiing in the Swiss Alps: Winter Adventures Await
One of the highlights of the Tursi Gold Experience is the opportunity to enjoy winter sports in the Swiss Alps.
The Great St Bernard region provides access to several ski areas, including le Verbier that is only 15 minutes from the place where the Coliving Experience takes place.
Participants can optionally purchase the PASS Saint-Bernard/Verbier, which provides access to various ski slopes such as other activities and attractions throughout the region.
The pass costs CHF 225 and includes access to three ski areas and regional public transportation.
The pass is optional and is not included in the accommodation price.
As the experience takes place at the beginning of December, ski-area opening dates and activities remain subject to seasonal conditions.
Snomad Fest 2026: A Winter Festival for Digital Nomads in Europe
Our Swiss Coliving Experience coincides with Snomad Fest 2026, a winter event bringing together digital nomads, entrepreneurs, freelancers and remote professionals.
The festival takes place in Liddes from December 6 to 13, 2026, just a short distance from Bourg-Saint-Pierre.
It combines winter sports with coworking, professional workshops and social activities.
For Digital Nomads in Europe, this is an opportunity to meet other location-independent professionals while enjoying the Swiss Alps.
What’s Included in Snomad Fest?
The festival programme includes professional and community activities such as keynotes, workshops, unconferences, storytelling sessions and a pitching competition.
Participants can also enjoy coworking facilities, organized transfers to the slopes and shared meals.
The combination of professional networking and outdoor experiences makes the festival particularly attractive for remote workers who enjoy active lifestyles.
Free Snomad Fest Access for Tursi Gold Participants
One of the biggest benefits of joining our December coliving is that Snomad Fest access is included in the Tursi Gold Experience.
The festival access offered through our programme has an advertised value of €450.
This means that participants can enjoy the intimacy of our 18-person community while also connecting with a wider network of digital nomads during the festival.
For new participants, this creates an additional opportunity to meet professionals beyond the Tursi Digital Nomads network.
And for our alumni, it’s another chance to expand their international connections.
Beyond Skiing: Community Activities and Alpine Living
Although skiing is one of the main attractions, the Tursi Gold Experience is about much more than winter sports.
Our communities have always been built around shared experiences.
In the Swiss Alps, that means combining outdoor adventures with relaxed evenings, meaningful conversations, a lot of shared cooking and spontaneous activities.
After a day of work or skiing, participants can return to Petit Velan and spend time together.
Cooking dinner, sharing wine, playing games or simply relaxing in the living room can become some of the most memorable moments of the experience.
Also, the mountains surrounding Bourg-Saint-Pierre offer beautiful landscapes and opportunities for outdoor exploration.
Depending on weather and trail conditions, participants can enjoy suitable winter walking routes and discover the surrounding area.
These activities provide a welcome break from working on a laptop and create opportunities to connect with other members of the community.

Why Switzerland Is an Interesting Destination for Digital Nomads in Europe
Switzerland is not traditionally considered one of Europe’s most affordable digital nomad destinations.
However, it offers something different from the usual Mediterranean hotspots.
The country combines extraordinary natural landscapes, outdoor activities, mountain villages and reliable infrastructure. For Digital Nomads in Europe, spending ten days in the Swiss Alps provides an opportunity to experience a completely different lifestyle.
Instead of working near the beach, you can work surrounded by mountains.
Instead of spending your evenings at outdoor bars, you can enjoy cozy dinners inside an Alpine house.
And instead of organizing everything independently, you can join a ready-made international community.
Our collaboration with Coliving Petit Velan makes this experience possible in a setting designed around shared living and remote work.
How to Reach Bourg-Saint-Pierre
Bourg-Saint-Pierre is located in southwestern Switzerland, close to the Italian border.
The village can be reached through several transportation options.
By Plane
The airports identified in our programme include:
- Geneva Airport: approximately 155 km.
- Turin Airport: approximately 150 km.
- Milan Malpensa Airport: approximately 200 km.
- Zurich Airport: approximately 280 km.
Geneva and Turin are among the most convenient options for reaching the region by road.
By Train and Public Transportation
Bourg-Saint-Pierre is connected to Martigny through regional public transportation.
Travellers arriving at Geneva Airport can take a train towards Martigny before continuing to the village.
Cross-border transport connections are also available between the Aosta Valley and the Martigny area.
We recommend checking updated timetables through Swiss Federal Railways, particularly when travelling during winter.
Why the Tursi Gold Experience Is Different From a Traditional Coliving Experience
Over the past five years, Tursi Digital Nomads has developed a model of temporary communities across Italy and Greece.
Our experiences generally last around three weeks and combine accommodation, coworking, local activities and community building.
We’ve organized projects in destinations such as Tursi, Rotondella, Matera, Patù and Parga.
This December, we’re taking that experience to Switzerland.
But there’s one important difference.
We’re not starting from zero.
With 12 alumni already confirmed, the community has a strong foundation before the first participant arrives.
At the same time, we’re welcoming 6 new members who want to become part of the Tursi Digital Nomads network.
This creates an interesting balance between familiarity and discovery.
Returning participants can reconnect with old friends, while newcomers can meet people who already share a history of travelling and living together.
It’s a different way of building a coliving community.
If you’re interested in understanding how temporary communities work, read our guide to Popup Colivings in Europe.
We also explore the differences between temporary and permanent communities in our article on Popup Coliving vs Permanent Coliving.
Who Should Join Our Swiss Coliving Experience?
The Tursi Gold Experience is designed for remote professionals, entrepreneurs, freelancers and travellers who enjoy community-based experiences.
You don’t need to have participated in a previous Tursi Digital Nomads project.
And you don’t need to be an experienced skier.
What matters is your willingness to share the experience with other people.
This edition is particularly suitable for:
- TDN Alumni who want to reconnect with friends from previous communities.
- New digital nomads who want to join an established international community.
- Remote professionals looking for a winter workation in the Swiss Alps.
- Entrepreneurs and freelancers interested in meeting other international professionals.
- Winter sports enthusiasts who want to combine skiing with community living.
- Travellers who prefer meaningful group experiences to conventional holidays.
Whether you’re coming to work remotely or simply enjoy a winter break, the experience offers the flexibility to create your own routine.
